Construction is of hardwood solids and veneers. The price list details the species by group. Most of our lumber is American lumber and veneers, imported from the US. Our associate factories in China have interests in US lumber companies and use their products extensively. Prestige Furniture is known for the quality and clarity of its finishes. They are developed by American finish companies who understand the application and formulas that work best for the American public.
Other construction features include American Red Oak wood on wood drawer glides. Panel backs are screwed on each case. Edges of case panels are veneered in the back so that no raw edges of panel boards are exposed to the consumer. Beds are double bolted at each connection of rail to bed post, a very solid bed construction! Mirrors are bolted onto dressers with pre bored and fitted sockets which hold the bolts in the mirror brackets. Mirrors are beveled. The bottom of each case is dust proofed (interior drawers are not). The top set of drawers in each case is felt lined on the bottom drawer panel. All drawers are English dovetail front and back. All hardware is of substantial construction, not thin and hollow.
Prestige takes great care in packaging, using extensive inner packs and wood skids in each carton. Hardware is attached in many applications, although some is packed in one of the drawers if there is a packaging issue.
